Do Eggs Need To Be Refrigerated?

Eggs must be dry and they must be stored at room temperature. You should melt coconut oil first, but you should not let it boil. Then dip eggs into the oil. After that let the eggs dry and store them in a dark and cool place.
Coconut oil creates a seal that can prevent oxygen to penetrate into the eggs. This way eggs can remain edible for about 9 to 12 months if stored at room temperature. If you store them in the fridge they may last even longer. Although coconut oil will extend the shelf life of eggs, there is one drawback of storing eggs this way. You should know that eggs after being oiled are not useful for cake making any more. Actually, egg whites will lose their foaming properties with the oiling, so they won’t whip up as fresh ones.
